As the title states, I've decided to quit Meta. The reasons for that have been stacking up for years and I kept postponing it because platforms like Instagram are so useful for book marketing. Now I've made the decision, after all. That means that I will no longer be using my Instagram and FaceBook accounts. Ultimately, I also want to leave WhatsApp (using Signal as an alternative).
My accounts won't disappear immediately. I'm announcing it now and am creating alternatives for you to follow me independent of Meta. I've now made an account on the Mastoart server of Mastodon (an open source, decentralized alternative to Twitter).

You could also subscribe to the mailing list to receive notifications every time I post a new article or blog post on this website. I'm even setting up a newsletter! The plan is to send a newsletter every month containing updates about my books, my manga, events that I'll be attending as an author, etc.

Chapter 1 of my manga is ready for proofreaders
I've finished the script for chapters 1 until 5 and am creating small sketches of the pages. This week I made the final sketch for the first chapter and I've moved on to chapter 2. This will give the proofreaders an impression of what to expect visually. I'll use their feedback to improve my script and sketches before starting my full-scale drawings.

At the bottom of the page you can find the (blue) form for my English newsletter (the one below this paragraph is Dutch! That's why I haven't translated it). It's called Kon Kon News. The Dutch welcome mail contains deleted scenes from the third book. I don't have a similar bonus for the English one yet, but as soon as I do, I'll let you know🙂
